The Clay Centre Ellerslie

The Clay Centre is a pottery and clay arts studio on Marua Road in Ellerslie for taught classes and studio practice.

What The Clay Centre offers

The Clay Centre runs clay and pottery learning rather than a general craft retail shop only. Class formats and age bands should be confirmed when you enquire. Firing and materials costs may sit outside base fees.

It is a specialist arts studio, not a children’s soft-play venue.

Planning the visit

Ask what to wear and whether to bring an apron. Confirm parking. Clarify fees including firing before the first paid term.

Compare fees, waiting times and first-visit requirements before you commit. Take previous records where relevant so the appointment is used for care or enrolment, not reconstruction. Parking on Main Highway and side streets in Ellerslie is limited at peak times, so allow a buffer. If books or classes are full, ask about the waitlist process and whether sibling priority applies. Write down who you spoke to and the date, especially for waitlists, referrals and term enrolments. Confirm cancellation rules and payment methods before you pay a deposit or term fee.
