Geronimo Performing Arts

Geronimo Performing Arts, at 143 Pilkington Road, finally gives Panmure families a dedicated local dance and performing arts school, running close to 100 classes a week across five custom-built studios for students from preschool age through to adults.

What Geronimo Performing Arts offers Panmure families

The school covers a wide range of genres, including ballet, jazz, tap, contemporary, hip hop, musical theatre, acro and a preschool programme, with curriculum-based classes following internationally recognised syllabi, Royal Academy of Dance for ballet and Asia Pacific Dance Association certification for jazz, tap, contemporary, hip hop and acro. This gives families confidence that classes follow a structured, externally benchmarked programme rather than an informal or ad hoc approach.

Classes welcome students of all levels, from complete first-time dancers to advanced performers working toward exams or the school’s own annual show, and every new family is offered a free trial class before committing, useful for a child trying dance for the first time or a family comparing a few local options. Parent reviews describe children leaving classes buzzing with enthusiasm, and the school describes its own culture as an encouraging, supportive community with passionate teachers.

Enrolling at Geronimo Performing Arts

Families can book a free trial class directly through the school’s website, and Geronimo also offers a dedicated app to help busy families manage bookings, schedules and payments in one place. The school serves families across Panmure, Glen Innes and the wider East Auckland area.

Given its position on Pilkington Road, close to Panmure Library and the Community Centre, families can combine a dance class with other errands in the same part of the suburb.

For more on education and arts options across Panmure, see our Education, Arts & Tutoring page, and our Panmure suburb page for the fuller local picture. You can also visit the Geronimo Performing Arts website directly to book a free trial class.

For families comparing dance schools, having Royal Academy of Dance and Asia Pacific Dance Association recognised syllabi directly at the local Panmure studio removes the need to travel further afield for a structured, exam-track programme.

Families new to Panmure looking for a creative outlet for their child are encouraged to book a free trial and see how their own family responds to the studio’s teaching style before committing to a term.
